A 1940s Silver Limit No 2 Pocket Watch

Description

A 1940s silver Limit No 2 pocket watch.

The watch has a signed stem-winding movement, made by Thommen for Limit… it is working nicely.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1944 with a maker’s mark for the English company, A L Dennison… the movements were often imported into the UK to be cased in readiness for onward retail. Overall the case is in good condition with just minor surface marks and a little unevenness to the case back.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The signed white enamel dial is in very nice condition.
