Large 14" Dial Wall Clock (Scotland, C. 1870)

19th century
Description

A large 14" Scottish dial wall clock with a figured mahogany case having a bobbin turned outer rim. It has a heavy cast brass bezel which has been polished and lacquered to prevent tarnishing.

Originally the clock came from a church in Perthshire, Scotland and was converted by them to have a Quartz movement so will keep perfect time and not need any winding or maintainence except for a new battery every 18 months or so

Current Condition

The wooden case has been re polished and bezel polished and lacquered. The dial is in good original condition.
