Silver Plated Striking Mantel Clock (England and France, C. 1910)

1900 - 1920
Description

An Edwardian silver plated gong striking mantel clock dating to the early 20th Century. It has a break arch top case, with reeded side pillars and acanthus leaf supports and Corinthian capitals. The acanthus design is repeated in the top and base moldings. It has an enamel dial with Arabic numerals and 15 minute markers. The French 8 day movement sounds the hours and halves on a gong. It is stamped CF , an import mark for Charles Frodsham, and is numbered 79712.

Current Condition

The case has been re-silver plated, the movement has been fully serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
