A Gents 9ct Gold Smiths De Luxe Wrist Watch, 1951

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 9ct gold Smiths De Luxe wrist watch, 1951, Made in England.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, stamped Made in England, which is working nicely.

The watch itself measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and is hallmarked inside the case back for Edinburgh 1951 with a maker’s mark for the British Watch Case Company. The back of the watch has a presentation engraving for long service from The Home & Colonial Stores. The case is in good condition with just one 4mm scratch to the side.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original textured finish which is in good condition with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
