A Gents Ww2 Era Military Style Lanco Wrist Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A gent WW2 era military style Lanco wrist watch.

Langendorf was a well respected Swiss watch making company and they traded for exactly 100 years from 1873. They used several brand names including Lanco, Larex and Lancyl.

The watch has an in-house hand-winding movement, calibre 1214, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed.

The watch itself measures 34.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The military style case is plated with a stainless steel case back. There is some marking to the case in line with its age but overall the condition is very acceptable for such an early piece.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has a couple of small patches of light marking but they are not too noticeable to the naked eye. Blued steel hands, dark red centre seconds and outer minute markers.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
