This is a stunning and rare gents vintage Vacheron Constantin wristwatch in a solid 18ct gold case, calibre 458/3B. The watch has a beautiful silvered dial with a subsidiary seconds dial and gold square and Arabic numerals. The 18ct gold case has a snap on back which is signed and numbered 332097. The case is approximately 31mm in diameter, excluding the crown. An attractive burgundy leather Hirsch strap has been fitted, which suits the watch perfectly. The movement is a manual wind which has an overcoil hairspring and has been adjusted to tempertures. It is numbered 502330 which dates it to circa 1952.

The movement runs beautifully and the watch keeps excellent time, as one would expect from a watch produced by this prestigious manufacturer. Vacheron Constantin are one of the oldest continuously operating watch manufacturers in the world, being founded in 1755. In the watch trade, they are regarded as one of the 'Holy Trinity' of luxury manufacturers, alongside Audemars Piguet and Patek Philippe.
