Silver And Tortoiseshell Lidded Cut Crystal Vanity Jar

A delightful cut crystal jar topped with a sterling silver lid fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1926. The makers initials are also present for the silversmith, Horton & Allday.
 
The top is inset with a wonderful period piece of Tortoiseshell with wonderful markings ranging from golden champagne to deep chocolate; a good glossy patina showcases this wonderful shell.
 
Excellent condition, measuring 2 3/4'' in diameter x 3'' tall.
