Worboys Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The stepped brass bezel has a convex glass. It has an enamel dial that is signed by the maker, LeRoux of Charing Cross, who is listed as working 1781-1808 and is described as an eminent maker. The shaped plate twin fusee movement has an anchor escapement and sounds the hours on a bell.
Current Condition
The case has been repolished, the silk in the grill replaced (colour could be changed). The movement has been fully serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
