Mahogany and Applied Brass Mantel Clock (France, C. 1910)

1900 - 1920
Description

An Edwardian mahogany mantel clock dating to the early 20th Century. The break arch top case is flanked by two brass finials and it has a central panel with brass line inlay and is edged by embossed brass acanthus leaf decoration. The sides have silk lined grilled panels. The French 8 day movement has an enamel dial with a convex glass and strikes the hours and halves on a gong.

Current Condition

The case has been repolished, the silk sides re-lined and the movement has been fully serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
