Brass Four Glass Mantel Clock (France, C. 1895)

19th century
Description

A small, French made four glass clock dating to the late 19th Century. It has four bevel edge glass sides, incorporating a front and rear door. The floral enamel dial has an embossed bezel, ornate pierced hands and is signed by the original retailers Camerer Cuss of New Oxford Street, London. The 8 day movement has a mercury filled pendulum, strikes the hours and halves on a gong and was made by Vincenti of Paris.

Current Condition

The case has been polished and lacquered, but retains the patina of original surface marking. It has a small nibble to the front top right hand corner bevel (see images). The movement has been fully serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
