An Antique Elgin Full Hunter Pocket Watch.

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Elgin full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Elgin Nat'l Watch Co U.S.A and it has the serial number 12627334 which dates it back to 1906. It is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the English watch case maker Dennison. The case has light surface marks from use and the odd small "ding" but overall it is in nice condition for its age.

The winding crown presses in to release the front cover. Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in nice condition. The white enamel dial is signed Elgin and is in nice condition.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

Price includes worldwide postage.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
