Royal Mail Issued Gpo Wall Clock, with Kings Cypher Dated 1948 by Elliott of London

Description

For sale is this very fine small Royal Mail issued GPO (General Post Office) wall clock, with King George VI cypher dated 1948, by Elliott of London. The clock is in very fine original and un-restored condition. The Elliott chain fusee movement is in full working order. The back box is stamped with a full set of issue reference numbers and then rubber stamped by an inspector. This is the smaller version that makes it more attractive in today's modern interiors. The diameter of the dial is 10 inch and the diameter of the complete front of the clock is 13 inches and 5.75 inches deep. The Elliott chain fusee was issued to the RAF, the Civil Service, and the Royal Mail and are of excellent quality.
