The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The case is silver and there are hallmarks on the hinged back for Glasgow (import mark), 1927 with a sponsor’s (or importer’s) mark for Sylvain Dreyfuss. Moise, George and Sylvain Dreyfuss traded as watch manufacturers from Moorfield in London and by the 1920s Georges and Sylvain began importing Rotary watches to Britain so this could well be an early Rotary.

The case has nice detail along the sides. There is some unevenness to the back and also around the bezel but overall it is a really charming piece.
The lens is in good condition.
The dial has fantastic Art Deco numbers, attractively shaped hour and minute hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an inner ring of number markers.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
