A 1920s Cyma Open Faced Pocket Watch

Description

A 1920s Cyma open faced pocket watch.

The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement, calibre 999, which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the American Watch Case Company, a Canadian watch manufacturer used by many Swiss companies. The case is in good condition with just a very slight indentation to the back, and a couple of short light surface scratches, but nothing significant at all. There is some rubbing around the centre section, just from use.

The watch glass is in good order.

The signed white enamel dial has a few hairline cracks but they are fairly faint. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
