Ladies Antique Elgin Hunter Pocket Watch, 1905

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Elgin full hunter ladies pocket watch and albertina.

The watch has a 15-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 11,523,642 which dates it back to 1905. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 40mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and it is in beautiful condition. Both the front and the back of the case are exquisitely detailed including a small lighthouse type building to the back.

The winding crown pushes in to release the front cover. Inside, there is a glass lens… it has light marking but very acceptable.

The signed white enamel dial has a faint hairline crack but it is barely noticeable to the naked eye.

The watch comes with a very unusual albertina which is white metal with rose gold wash embellishments.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
