A Gents 1957 Tissot Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1957 Tissot wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 27B-621, which is working well. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 3,907,639 which dates it back to 1957.

The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs, a good size for a 1950s piece. The case is stainless steel and it is in lovely condition. The case back states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water.

The lens is in good order.

The signed dial has a charming two tone design which gives the watch lots of character. The hour hand and centre seconds hand are slightly out of shape. The roulette date display is a nice feature.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
