18th Cent Oak 30hr Longcase Clock

Description

A nice small 18th Cent longcase clock by T Travis. There is no place name but it is possibly T Travis of Doncaster who worked there from 1746 to 1760.

The attractive case is in oak and is in good unrestored condition and a nice colour. There is a section of dentil missing at the side of the top moulding of the hood and the normal shrinkage crack to the base. There is also one capital missing from the back RH side of the hood. None of these detract from its appearance too much.

The movement is in working order and complete with weight and pendulum.

The maximum dimensions are:

201cm (75") high

56cm (22") wide

29cm (11.5") deep
