A Gents 1920s Silver Dimra Wrist Watch

Description

A gents 1920s silver Dimra wrist watch.

The watch has a signed hand-winding movement made by Dimier Freres & Cie… Dimra was a brand name used by Dimier Freres for some of their watches.

The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for Glasgow (import mark), 1926 with a sponsor’s mark for Dimier Brothers. The front of the case is in good condition and the back has five pin prick sized indentations.

The watch glass has a small mark between 1 and 2 but not too noticeable to the naked eye.

The white dial is in good condition and the shaped hands are a handsome feature. There is also a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
