The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a signed automatic movement, calibre 1249T, which came into production in 1949.
The shape of the rotor was changed very quickly, within the first year of production in fact, with the revised calibre number 1249UT. The serial number of 34,159,962 dates the watch back to 1949. The movement is working nicely.

The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The stainless steel case is in very nice condition and the snap-on case back is signed inside with the Eterna name.
The lens is in good condition.
The dial is in lovely condition and has the five ball bearings Eterna logo.
A later brown leather strap has been fitted.
