The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The watch has a fusee (chain driven) movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover. A winding key is included.
The watch itself measures 48mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop.
The case is in good condition with the engine turned detail still nice and crisp.

The back covers opens to reveal an inner cover with an 1885 inscription to the Reverend Davies, from E Jones, Maesycrugiau.
The watch glass has a 4mm nibble to the bevelled edge, and the odd minor mark to the main face but nothing too bad at all.

The white enamel dial is in nice condition. The minute hand looks a little lumpy if viewed from the side.
The watch comes with a silver plated single albert which measures 24cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
