An Antique Zenith Pocket Watch, 1915

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Zenith pocket watch made for the Scandinavian market.

The watch has a good quality signed stem winding movement which is working nicely. The serial number of 1969158 dates it back to 1915. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has details of both the movement and also of various trade medals won around the turn of the Century.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 800 silver and there are Swiss hallmarks inside the outer case back, together with the Zenith logo. The watch has a galonne case which is 800 silver with a rose gold wash around the bezel and the edge of the back of the watch.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has a hairline between 10 and 12 but it is barely noticeable to the naked eye. The charming ornate hands were very popular in Scandinavia at the beginning of the 20th Century.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
