The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch has a hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch measures 32.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs.
From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items, which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail. The case back has ornate initials, probably of the original owner. The case is in good condition.
The later acrylic lens is also in good order.
The white enamel dial has some damage to the edge in a couple of places but not too obvious when the watch is being worn. The hands would originally have had infill.
A new black leather strap has been fitted.
