The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a 38.5L.T1 stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is signed and it has the serial number 8,131,452 which dates it back to around 1936.
The case is gold plated. It has three fairly minor indentations to the back but otherwise is in a very acceptable condition.

The watch glass is in good order.
The signed dial has lots of 1930s charm with a subtle two tone finish and a nicely detailed subsidiary seconds dial. The minute hand is a later, but vintage, replacement. There is some marking to the dial but nothing too detrimental.
The watch comes with a most attractive albert which measures 29.5cm long including the T-bar and the clasp, and also an amber coloured glass swivel.
