A Gents Late 1950s Tudor Royal Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents Tudor Royal wrist watch.

38 years after the first Rolex watches were made, Hans Wilsdorf (founder of Rolex) started a new sub-brand called Tudor, originating from his love of England and in particular the time of the Tudors.

The watch has a signed hand-winding movement which is working well.

The watch itself measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in very nice condition. The inside of the case back has the Tudor logo and the outside has the model number 1738. The winding crown has the Rolex logo.

The lens is in good order.

The signed dial is in its original finish and there is some pale freckling if you look closely.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
