A Gents 1950s Waltham Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Waltham wrist watch.

The watch has a signed Swiss hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated and there is some rubbing to the plate on the lugs although the base metal is a similar colour so not too noticeable to the naked eye. The signed screw-on case back is stainless steel… it states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial has minor marking but is very acceptable. Original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
