The clock stands on small bracket feet and the base has lovely figuring and is cross banded in rosewood. The slim trunk has reeded quarter columns a long arched top door.
The hood has slim reeded columns with brass capitals. The arched door has boxwood inlay and the hood is again cross banded in rosewood and has a double dentil molded cornice.

The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. The very attractive dial has a beautifully painted picture of a cockerel to the arch and gilt decorated spandrels. It has subsidiary seconds and date dials.

The case is in good unrestored condition but has some minor veneer chips to the base. The movement is nice and clean and in good working, keeping good time. It is complete with pendulum, weights, bell and winding key.
