Description

This is a stunning 8 Day longcase clock by Richard Bullock of Ellesmere, dating from circa 1740. The clock has a wonderful deep red Japanned / chinoiserie case decorated with hand painted and gilded oriental images. The clock has a fully restored movement (Full 12 month guarantee) 12 inch brass dial with most attractive and unusual spandrels and a silvered chapter ring with makers signature. The centre with seconds and a date aperture. This has a four pillar movement with an anchor escapement and strikes a lovely tone on a bell every hour. The case has a wonderful rich colour and beautiful gilding and is in super condition.

This clock has lovely proportions measuring 89" (226cm) in height 17" (43cm) wide by 11" (28cm) deep.
