French Carriage Clock Timepiece by Frodsham

19th century
Description

A good late 19th century French CARRIAGE CLOCK timepiece, probably by Drocourt, and signed to both dial and movement: Charles Frodsham, Paris.

In splendid condition, this good carriage clock is in a quality 'Corniche' case and retains its original lever platform escapement and original numbered (21531) key. Perfect working order and guaranteed at least two years. 6.75ins (17cms) high overall.

*Although fully signed Charles Frodsham, it is virtually certain this was made by Alfred Drocourt for this famous English clockmaker. The movement has typical Drocourt features whilst the design of the numbered key is unique to this fine firm of carriage clock makers.
