Good English 8-Day Fusée Mahogany Wall Clock

Description

A handsome mid/late 19th century Victorian period mahogany English WALL CLOCK (sometimes known as a "school" clock), by Skelton of Tooting (London).

The case is of mahogany with a narrow surround; cast brass bezel and flat bevelled glass, whilst the 8-day fusee-driven timepiece movement retains its original painted dial and blued steel hands. Perfect working order. The dial: 12ins diameter; 14.5ins wide (37cms) wide overall. *The Skelton family are recorded working in the Tooting area of London from around 1855-1875.
