Oak Drop Dial Fusee Wall Clock (England, C. 1880)

Description

A late 19th Century solid oak fusee wall clock. It has a slender outer oak bezel with a cast brass locking bezel. The drop has a pendulum window with a brass sight edge. It has a traditional pegged case with a base and side door. The white painted enamel dial is signed by the original maker/retailer Walter Hurst of Sheffield. The 8 day fusee movement has a long pendulum and stopwork to prevent over-winding.

Current Condition

The case is in excellent original condition, the movement has been fully serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
