Worboys Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
The sides have brass fishscale frets and embossed brass carrying handles. The 8 inch diameter dial has a cast brass bezel and is signed by the maker Loof of Tunbridge well. It has a twin fusee movement that sounds the hours on a bell. Willaim Loof is listed as a maker in the early 19th Century, 1822-1855.
Current Condition
The case has been re-polished and wax finished, the movement has fully been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
