A Good French Oval Striking Carriage Clock

Description

An attractive and good quality late 19th century French OVAL CARRIAGE CLOCK of large size and in perfect condition.

The case is excellent, with a shaped cast brass handle; curved oval glass panels all around and a stepped base, whilst the blued steel hands and the white enamel dial are both original and perfect. The 8-day two-train movement retains its original platform lever escapement and strikes hours and half-hours on a gong. Recently professionally cleaned, this clock is in perfect working oder and is guaranteed at least two years (as are all our clocks).
