Good Drop-dial Wall Clock by Eames of Bath

Description

An impressive mid-19th century drop-dial WALL CLOCK by Thomas Eames of Bath.

The case is of mahogany, with an elegant narrow surround to the cast brass bezel; a figured mahogany brass-inlaid trunk with carved 'ears' and a cushion base with curved (locking) lower door. The eight-day movement is fusee driven with the original painted convex dial; convex glass and original blued steel hands. Perfect working order and guaranteed for at least two years.

* Thomas EAMES started working in the City of Bath pre-1845. He ceased trading in 1874.
