Small Rosewood and Inlay Mantel Clock (France, C. 1840)

Description

A fine, small early 19th Century rosewood mantel clock. The waisted case is inlaid with satinwood floral marquetry inlay. It has a brass beaded edge bezel and an embossed sight ring, a white enamel dial and trefoil hands. The 8 day movement has a silk suspension and strikes the hours and halves on a bell and is signed by the maker/retailer Henri Marc of Paris.

Current Condition

The case is in good original condition, the movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months If you would like a video clip to hear this clock striking please email us.
