For sale is this very fine and rare RAF issued Jaeger-LeCoultre pocket watch with enlarged sub-seconds dial, circa 1940. The pocket watch is in unrestored original condition and retains its rare silver dial with the large sub-seconds dial that was preferred by RAF navigators for charting and timing. It also retains its original fine deep blue stylized hand set that is synonymous to this version. The original case shows charting wear to the case back but the centre section and front bezel retain almost all original plate. Fully signed fine gilt movement in full working order and keeping time. The watch is 5.2cm in diameter excluding the winding crown and 1.2cm deep including the plexi. Total length 7.2cm including the top loop. This version is now extremely difficult to find and even more so in condition such as this one on offer.
