French Louis XVI Style Mantel Clock (France, C. 1880)

Description

A nicely decorated French striking mantel clock in the Mid 18th Century style, made in the late 19th Century. The wasted case has applied brass mounts, an ornate bezel and a sectioned enamel dial. The green ground case has floral decoration and a central painting of a young man watering flowers. It has an 8 day pendulum movement that sounds the hours and halves on a gong.

Current Condition

The case is in good original condition, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this clock striking please email us.
