Gents 1940s Record Wrist Watch, Made for the German Market

Description

A vintage 1940s gents Record wrist watch made for the German market.

The watch has a hand winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is stamped Record together with the calibre number 022K.

The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case was originally plated but most of this has worn off over the years, down to the base metal. The screw-on case back is stainless steel, it has a few scratches.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed Record Watch Co, Genf (German for Geneva). The dial has a little age related surface marking but overall it is in nice condition for its age. It has has its original steel hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
