FRANCIS SHUTTLEWORTH: a charming and unusual early 19th century Regency period TIMEPIECE.

The pretty "Balloon" shaped case is of papier mache finely decorated with gilding to the front, sides and top, with musical trophies below the dial and flowers to the shaped base. The four-pillar single fusee movement with partially engraved backplate, retains its original pendulum; fine ormolu hands and perfect enamel dial signed: "Shuttleworth, Duke Street, Piccadilly". Guaranteed for at least 2 years. 15ins high; 9.5ins wide; 6ins deep. (38 x 24 x 15cms)

***Francis Shuttleworth is recorded working in Duke Street, Piccadilly (LONDON) from 1805-1815.
