Antique English Silver Pocket Watch, Brierley Hill

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique English silver pocket watch.

The watch has a key-winding movement which is working well. The movement is signed Cartwright Brothers, Brierley Hill. It is protected by a fitted inner cover. A winding key is included.

The watch itself measures 56mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Birmingham 1902 with a maker’s mark for the Coventry based watch case maker Charles Errington. The case is in good condition.

The watch glass has minor marking but not too noticeable to the naked eye.

The white enamel dial has some very faint hairline cracks, really only visible through a magnifying loupe.
