The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The watch has a fusee (chain driven) movement which is ticking away nicely. The movement is protected by an inner cover. A winding key is included.
The watch itself measures 43.
The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for London 1877. The case is in good condition with just some rubbing to the engine turned detail on the back, just from use over the years.

The watch glass has a little nibbling to the edge but is very acceptable.
The white enamel dial has a short hairline crack just beneath the subsidiary seconds dial but otherwise looks good with blued steel hands and an outer minute track.
