The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel hand-winding movement which is working well. The movement is signed Roamer Standard, 15 jewels, Swiss made.
The watch measures 21.6mm wide excluding the winding crown and 42.6mm high including the lugs - it would probably suit a man with a slimmer wrist.
The convex lens is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.
The dial is signed Roamer Standard, Swiss Made. The dial has faint surface marking although hardly noticeable to the naked eye.
The watch has its original steel hands (some of the infill has come out of the hands).
A new black leather strap has been fitted.
