Description

A high quality and unusual English bracket clock. Made in the late 19th century in the style of an 18th century clock. The chinoiserie case has a re-maroon ground with Chinese stylistic decoration in gilt and shades of green. It has a brass carrying handle, a break arch door and a fret base with ogee bracket feet. The engraved brass dial has a silvered chapter ring and tempus fugit disc. The substantial 8 day fusee movement has stop work to prevent overwinding, shaped plates and a holdfast to secure the pendulum during transit.

Current Condition

The case is in excellent original condition, the movement has been serviced in our own workshops and is guaranteed for 12 months.
