The case is nice quality and in well figured mahogany. It is not too tall so will fit in most period or modern homes.
The clock stands on a plinth base that is cross banded and has boxwood stringing.
The hood has slim reeded columns, and an elegant swan neck pediment with fretwork panels backed with red silk and turned patria.
The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell. The nice clear white dial has a subsidiary seconds hand and the makers name to the arch. At the time these white dials were considered superior to earlier brass dial due to their clarity.
The case is in good un-restored condition but does have the inevitable shrinkage crack to the base. The clock is in good running order and and keeping excelent time. It is complete with weights, pendulum, bell and winding key.
