An antique Longines pocket watch, 1917.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Longines name and it also has the serial number 3,520,977 which dates it back to 1917. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover with details of various trade medals won by Longines.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is .800 silver with a rose gold wash around the bezel and the edge of the case back. The inside of the case back has the Longines logo together with the initials of the founder of Longines, Ernest Francillon. The case has the odd minor mark but overall is good for such an early piece. There are initials to the centre of the back.

The plastic lens is in good condition.

The white enamel dial is signed with the Longines name. There is damage by number 11 and various hairline cracks. Breguet style hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
