The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed American Waltham U.S.A. Traveler and the serial number 18626425 which dates it back to 1912. The movement is protected by a hinged inner dust cover.
The watch measures 50.7mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the Star model and was made by the English based watch case maker Aaron Dennison.
The watch has blue enamel Roman numerals to the front although some has has come out over the years. The small glass lens is in good condition.

The winding stem presses in to release the front cover. Inside there is a white enamel dial signed with the Waltham name and blued steel hands - note the special half hunter hour hand so that the owner can decipher the hour hand from the minute hand when the front cover is closed. The dial is in nice condition.
The watch comes with an antique gold plated single albert with graduated links which measures 30.5cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
