Gents Omega Seamaster Wrist Watch, 1956

1940 - 1960
Description

Gents Omega Seamaster wrist watch.

The watch has a calibre 491 automatic movement which is working well. The movement is signed with the Omega name 15,166,990 which dates it back to 1956.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel and it is in good condition with just a small knock to the side. The winding crown has the Omega logo. The inside of the snap-on case back has the Omega logo and also the case reference of 2848 which is correct for the 491 movement.

The watch lens is in good condition and has the small clear Omega logo to the centre.

The dial is in its original finish, there is some marking mainly between 9 and 11. Original dauphine hands with some marking, subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new non-Omega presentation box.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
