George III Mahogany Moon Dial Long Case Grandfather Clock

Description

A handsome longcase clock, the dial signed W Randall, Newbury (Berkshire). He is listed as working there in the late 18th Cent.

The case is in very well figured mahogany and it has a smart dentil frieze and swan neck pediment.

The 8 day movement has a most attractive painted dial with a moon phase indicator to the arch.

The case is in good condition and a lovely colour. The movement has had some repair but is keeping good time and with the moon and date working as they should.

The maximum dimensions are:

226cm(89") high

57cm(22.5") wide

29cm(11.5") deep
