A Quality 1920 Elgin Pocket Watch

Description

A quality 1920 Elgin pocket watch.

The watch has a grade 315 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. This is a very good quality movement and it has a Moseley patent regulator… a patent regulator is indicative of superior quality. The movement is signed and the serial number dates it back to 1920.

The watch measures 43mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is gold plated and it has a decorative edge and vertical stripes to the screw-on case back.

The watch glass is in good order with just a couple of minor marks.

The signed enamel dial has a hairline crack running from the centre towards number 11 but it is very faint. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
