The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade 225, which is working nicely. The movement is signed AWW Co, Waltham, Mass, and the serial number dates it back to 1922.

The watch measures 47mm diameter so very slightly smaller than a standard 50mm pocket watch. The case is gold filled and was made by B&B, Bates & Bacon of Massachusetts. The screw-on case back is another sign of good quality, rather than the snap-on back. The case has engine turned detail to the back and a cartouche with personalised initials. The case has a couple of slight indentations to the back but overall is in good condition.

The watch glass is in good order.
The signed dial has a textured centre, blued steel hands in the Breguet style and outer minute markers. There is some discolouration around the number 5 but overall it has a very charming appearance.
