The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a stem winding movement, Sterling grade, model 1883, which is working nicely. The movement is signed American Waltham Watch Co and the serial number dates it back to 1908.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. It has a gold filled case which was originally “warranted 20 years”. The case has three scratches to the bezel but overall is in good condition for its age. The back of the watch has an image of a steam locomotive.
The glass lens is in good order.
The signed white enamel dial has a few very faint hairline cracks. The outer minute track with red numerals is a nice feature.
